I dont know about the rest of you but i simply cant wait for the dvds to come out. The thought of owning this epic film and being able to watch it whenever i desire is... is... is beyond words!

At least you people have seen LOTR:FOTR in the cinemas. I'm still waiting to see this movie. One of the many problems of living on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere is that the cinema here tends to bring movies hald a year after their release date! I'll probably end up watching the DVD before seeing it on the big screen!
It's a pretty good DVD cover. That always has been my favourite movie poster.

I have been wanting to go see the movie ever since I read the book! Now I have seen the movie, but I really want to see it again!!! Okay, so they aren't the ringbearer, but Boromir, Legolas, Gimli, Pippin, Sam and Merry are WAAAAAY too small. Why do Arwen and Galadriel get to be so big? (I myself am a woman and appreciate that its probably to even out gender-representation, or perhaps increase sex appeal, but its just not right). I'd be upset if I were puny Sean Bean, blowing my little Gondor-horn waaaaay off to the side. Anyone agree?

The two towers is in theaters December 2002 The Return Of the King is in theters December 2003. The fellowship of the ring directors cut is coming out in movember. Keep your eyes peeled. The Fellowship of the Ring will take 5 more months. I really don't want to wait, but I have to. :( I know it's unbearably hard, but try not to think on it too much, and the time will pass by quicker. If we dwell on it, it'll feel like an eternity. I'm getting both the August one, and the November special edition one. The picture of the dvd box cover is great. Why must we wait!!!!!!!!! 5 Months!!!!!!!! I heard on the news though that their going to rush it to dvd and vhs beacuse of the hype around the academy awards!!!! We can only hope!!! *bursts into tears and runs and sits in the corner rocking back and forth muttering about how she can see the movie in her head*

Does anyone agree that they totally messed up the academy awards by picking a beautiful mind? I'm not putting a beautiful mind down or ron howard but LOTR was clearly the best picture and Peter Jackson clearly the best director (even though waiting 4 the movie is torture). Will there be a special edition VHS?

This looks like the movie poster in theaters. It's good, capturing the mood, but I think it lacks color. Also some characters are too big and some are too small.
I can wait. In fact, I'm waiting for the SE DVD, because I don't want to waste my money on two of the same thing. I'll be able to see all the scenes of the Aug. release on the Nov. one. I know we can be fans, but we need to control ourselves. I can find other things ot do and keep me busy. Besides, even if I get it in Aug., I wouldn't be able to watch it too many times, because school starts in Sept., and I won't have time to watch.

I'll probably end up watching the DVD before seeing it on the big screen!

Okay, so they aren't the ringbearer, but Boromir, Legolas, Gimli, Pippin, Sam and Merry are WAAAAAY too small. Why do Arwen and Galadriel get to be so big? (I myself am a woman and appreciate that its probably to even out gender-representation, or perhaps increase sex appeal, but its just not right). I'd be upset if I were puny Sean Bean, blowing my little Gondor-horn waaaaay off to the side. Anyone agree?

I've seen it six times! Although I don't have a DVD player I'm getting the video. The DVD and video are coming in August. That not too long. The two towers is in theaters December 2002 The Return Of the King is in theters December 2003. The fellowship of the ring directors cut is coming out in movember. Keep your eyes peeled. The people says that the movie was good, but I was thinking about the cuted hour, if it's going to be on the DVD?
Because I want to see when they(the fellowship) are saying goodbye to the maindens, I mean the cuted scenes.. I want to see it all..!! and remain eds_fox

That's a long time to wait. You know what? This is the only other movie besides Jurassic Park that I have so eagerly awaited for it's arrival to home video/dvd. JP took six months. The Fellowship of the Ring will take 5 more months. I really don't want to wait, but I have to. :( I know it's unbearably hard, but try not to think on it too much, and the time will pass by quicker. If we dwell on it, it'll feel like an eternity. I'm getting both the August one, and the November special edition one. The picture of the dvd box cover is great. I'm also very pleased that it will released in full screen version too.
It kind of leads me to believe they already have a few on dvd, but are waiting to release them to the general public. Drat. Well, at least time never slows down. :)

I'm not putting a beautiful mind down or ron howard but LOTR was clearly the best picture and Peter Jackson clearly the best director (even though waiting 4 the movie is torture). and by the way...why is liv's picture bigger than most of the guys in the fellowship? I didn't like arwens extended part...and liv didn't do a very good job either but I'm still going to give it 2 because I love the movie and the books

I called up Kmart to ask when it came out (I was just hoping it came out before August!) and they told me that it is coming out on the 28th of May (this month!!). Please e-mail me if you have heard this also. Call a local Kmart and ask them.

This looks like the movie poster in theaters. It's good, capturing the mood, but I think it lacks color. Also some characters are too big and some are too small.
I can wait. In fact, I'm waiting for the SE DVD, because I don't want to waste my money on two of the same thing. I'll be able to see all the scenes of the Aug. release on the Nov. one. I know we can be fans, but we need to control ourselves. I can find other things ot do and keep me busy. Besides, even if I get it in Aug., I wouldn't be able to watch it too many times, because school starts in Sept., and I won't have time to watch.

This looks like the movie poster in theaters. It's good, capturing the mood, but I think it lacks color. Also some characters are too big and some are too small.
I can wait. In fact, I'm waiting for the SE DVD, because I don't want to waste my money on two of the same thing. I'll be able to see all the scenes of the Aug. release on the Nov. one. I know we can be fans, but we need to control ourselves. I can find other things ot do and keep me busy. Besides, even if I get it in Aug., I wouldn't be able to watch it too many times, because school starts in Sept., and I won't have time to watch.

hee hee i have two, Wide screen version and Full screan, im also getting the special edition one in Nov. and plus, i saw it 16 times!!!!!!!!!
