Here's another notice from the Tolkien Society about Los Angeles' celebration of Tolkien Reading Day (which I may very well make an appearance at, seeing as the Arcadia library is only 15 minutes away!):

The Tolkien Society Los Angeles Chapter will hold its annual JRR Tolkien Reading Day event on Saturday, March 24, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday, March 25, from 1:30p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The Saturday event will take place in the Arcadia Public Library, located at 20 West Duarte Road in Arcadia.

The Sunday event will be held at a separate location, the Mid-Valley Regional Branch Library, located at 16244 Nordoff Street in North Hills.

Costumed volunteers will be reading selected works from JRR Tolkien, most notably from his famed "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Children can also participate in coloring and sing-a-longs.
