J.R.R. Tolkien Makes Forbes List of Top Earners

According to Forbes.com, J.R.R. Tolkien hit the number 8 spot when it comes to top deceased celebrity earners. Last year, the good professor made a hefty $8 million, just behind Marilyn Monroe, and ahead of George Harrison.

It's no surprise, actually. Considering the popularity of the films, and the enduring values of the books, I expect Tolkien to be filling his bank account for many more years.
